After microblading, the eyebrow area must be kept dry and clean. It’s crucial to avoid any exposure to dust, bacteria, or impurities, which could lead to inflammation or infection.
If you have your eyebrows microbladed at Gangwhoo, our technicians will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions. Here are some important guidelines to follow when cleaning your brows:
– Use a clean, soft towel to wash your face, being careful to avoid the eyebrow area. Do not let water come into contact with your brows during the initial healing phase.
– If you feel slight discomfort or soreness (which varies by individual), you may use pain relief medication — but only under a doctor’s instruction and at the correct dosage.
– To clean your brows, gently dab the area with a cotton swab dipped in boiled and cooled water. Only use one or two swabs at a time and do not rub or scrub the skin.
When getting eyebrow microblading, it’s important to maintain a proper diet to support the healing and pigment retention process. Microblading requires you to consume adequate protein, essential nutrients, and minerals. Include plenty of fruits, leafy greens, nuts, beans, beef, chicken, pork, seafood, and healthy fatty legumes in your diet. Avoid drinking brown rice water, consuming jams, chocolate, sugary drinks, ice, coffee, and tobacco.
For Normal, Dry, and Sensitive Skin:
After microblading, gently clean your eyebrows with warm water 30 minutes post-procedure, then pat dry.
Apply aftercare ointment 3 times a day for 7 days or until the eyebrows fully peel. Use a very thin layer each time. Before applying a new layer, gently clean the tattooed area again with warm water.
Recommended aftercare products include Skin Candy by Phibrows, CS+lab ointment, or Vaseline.
For Oily and Combination Skin:
Avoid applying ointment to keep the area dry. If there is moisture, gently wipe it with a cloth soaked in lukewarm water.
Do not apply anything for the first few days.
Important Notes:
Do not pick or peel off scabs; allow them to fall off naturally.
Avoid sleeping on your side to prevent friction on the tail end of the eyebrows.
Use only new, hygienic aftercare products as instructed. Do not use other products, as excess oils can affect pigment retention.
For the following 2-3 weeks, avoid applying makeup on the eyebrows, swimming, sauna, intense physical activities that cause heavy sweating, and any other facial beauty treatments.
After the scabs have fallen off, you should no longer apply antibiotic ointment. Instead, use color-enhancing creams or skin regeneration creams. At this stage, you can apply products like Vaseline evenly on your eyebrows every night before bed to help the color develop beautifully and naturally.
When choosing a cream, opt for natural-extract skincare products that are safe and suitable for your skin type to avoid allergies or side effects, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Eyebrow microblading at Gangwhoo Hospital represents a significant advancement in technique and technology for shaping eyebrows. Specifically, this method uses Nano Cell technology combined with microblading pigments derived from natural extracts. As a result, the microbladed eyebrows meet three beauty standards: sharpness, even color, and natural appearance.
However, for first-time microblading clients, those with difficulty retaining pigment, or people with oily skin, a touch-up is usually needed about 2 weeks after the initial procedure to achieve sharpness and natural color.
Additionally, whether a touch-up is needed largely depends on the technology and technique used by the technician, as well as the client’s aftercare.
In some cases, clients who have had microblading done at unprofessional or low-quality establishments may experience issues such as coarse, stiff hair strokes or uneven color. In these situations, it’s important to visit a reputable microblading studio for a touch-up to correct these imperfections from the previous procedure.
