A Warm and Giving Tet: Gangwhoo Hospital and Thanh Nien Press Bring Spring to Those in Need
Gangwhoo Hospital and Thanh Nien Press spreading Love to Orphans and Families in Need
From the early morning, the preparation of Tet gifts for the locals was meticulously completed. Sponsor by Gangwhoo Hospital and Thanh Nien Press, the program handed out 300 Tết gift packages to orphans and disadvantaged families in three locations: Bình Chánh District, Nhà Bè District, and District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Each gift, valued at 500,000 VND, included 200,000 VND in cash along with essential items such as rice, cooking oil, soy sauce, sugar, and seasoning.
Although modest, these gifts conveyed our empathy and support to children who lost their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic, the elderly who struggle to make a living, and poor working families fighting daily to provide meals for their children.
Heartwarming Encounters
During our visit, Gangwhoo Hospital and Thanh Nien Press saw the eyes of children missing the protection of their parents, making us all emotional. Among the touching stories was that of little A (8 years old), who lost both parents to the pandemic and now lives with a frail grandmother. Another story was that of H (20 years old), living with her aunt and grandmother, who had to quit school to work and earn money for her grandmother’s cancer treatment.
Equally moving was the image of a 70-year-old man with thin legs, quietly carrying a green sack to collect recyclables to make a living. These lives need the love, care, and sharing of the community.
It was truly meaningful to have the opportunity to listen to these stories and witness the harsh realities they face. These experiences are the driving force for Gangwhoo Hospital to continue our mission of spreading love, sharing, and getting closer to people across the country.
Gangwhoo Hospital and Thanh Nien Press: Our Mission of Spreading Love
With the theme “Sharing Love – Enhancing Tet,” Gangwhoo Hospital aims to go beyond this program and continue many more charitable activities in the future. Founder Lê Hiền shared, “We hope to continue partnering with Thanh Nien Press and many other organizations to bring sharing, help people overcome difficulties, have more faith in life, and enjoy a warm, happy Tết.”
This charitable program not only brings Tet joy to unfortunate lives but also serves as a reminder of the value of love and solidarity within the community. Regardless of our roles, we can all come together to spread goodness, making spring more meaningful and complete.
Let’s continue writing heartwarming life stories with Gangwhoo Hospital and Thanh Nien Press, where compassion spreads, and every life, no matter how difficult, is touched by love.
