Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign At Every Hospital in HCM City
In the past few days, many private hospitals have begun to participate in the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic at the call of the Department of Health and the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City. According to Thanh Nien News, there are hospitals participating in Covid-19 treatment, some hospitals participating in the Covid-19 vaccination campaign for people.
On August 3rd, Gangwhoo Cosmetic Hospital (in Ward 13, Tan Binh District) began to administer the Covid-19 vaccine for the elderly (from 65 years old) in this area for free.
Many people in the area are pleased for having an additional Covid-19 vaccination point.
Talking to the journalist of “Thanh Nien” News on August 3rd, Dr. Phung Manh Cuong – Deputy Director in charge of specialties of Gangwhoo Cosmetic Hospital – to answer the call of the Ministry of Health, People’s Committee, and the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City about private hospitals participating in pandemic prevention (from treatment to vaccination…), all Gangwhoo hospital’s doctors and nurses shall participate in the Covid-19 prevention campaign.
According to Dr. Phung Manh Cuong, Gangwhoo Cosmetic Hospital has more than 100 employees, including 30 doctors, the remaining 70% are medical staff, nurses, technicians… They are all well trained to implement the Covid-19 vaccine. Gangwhoo has human resources and equipment that can meet the regulations of Covid-19 vaccination; from screening, injection, and monitoring, post-injection emergency treatment (if any)… Gangwhoo can give vaccines to 2,000 people every day, and up to 5,000 people/day.
Dr. Cuong added that on August 3rd, because it was the first day of the vaccination campaign, many people did not have time to prepare some paperwork before going to the hospital, so the procedure was slower.
The hospital provides 2 lines of people queuing for vaccination, one for healthy people and one for people with underlying diseases (for closer examination and screening).
On the first day, about 400 people were vaccinated. “After the first day of the vaccination campaign, we will have a meeting with doctors, nurses… to see if there are any problems that arise on the first day of implementation to improve for the following days to speed up the vaccination schedule.” said doctor Phung Manh Cuong.
Dr. Cuong added that the hospital’s team of doctors and nurses not only vaccinate people in Tan Binh district but also can expand the vaccination campaign to other areas, or give mobile vaccination when required from the Department of Health. The hospital is ready to support the city to give Covid-19 vaccination to the people as quickly as possible.
Gangwhoo Cosmetic Hospital also prepared gifts (rice included) for the poor after having them vaccinated for Covid-19.
